Joshko Wakaniyasi – Fighter Of True Inclusiveness
To honour his contribution and efforts in improving the livelihood of Persons with Disability, he was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the National Disability Awards in 2021.

An activist, a human rights advocate and defender, a voice for persons with disability in Fiji and the region, and a friend.
These were sentiments shared by Government, Non-Governmental organisations and friends of the Spinal Injury Association’s executive director, Joshko Wakaniyasi.
Mr Wakaniyasi passed away following a short illness on Saturday, March 18.
He was the Pacific Disability Forum’s (PDF) Manager Inclusive Development at the time of his passing.
