“We Will Serve You”: PM Sitiveni Rabuka Assures
“‘Eitou na taura, ‘eitou na ciqoma, ‘eitou sa yalayala ‘ina vei ‘emuni, ‘eitou na veiqaravi sara va vina’a me qai tinia ga a mate a neitou veiqaravi’.”
These were the words of Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, while speaking in his dialect, to the people of the Cakaudrove Province during the vakasenuqanuqa ceremony at Somosomo Village, Taveuni, yesterday.
When translated, Mr Rabuka vowed to the people of the province that he and seven other Members of Parliament from the province will serve the people of Fiji to their utmost ability until their last breath.
“Today we vow to you and our witness is our paramount chief, the Tui Cakau. We will be faithful in our duties to serve you and the nation diligently and with our utmost best, every time, for everyone,” he said.
