The Fiji Court of Appeal has allowed the Director of Public Prosecutions’ leave to appeal against acquittal of a man who killed two pedestrians and injured two others while drunk and driving in Tailevu in 2017.
This is in the case of Michael Junior Mow who was charged with two counts of manslaughter and two counts of dangerous driving occasioning grievous harm.
On November 2, 2017, at Viwa Road, Tailevu, in the Eastern Division, he drove a motor vehicle along Viwa, Kings Road in a manner that caused the death of Paulo Belagio and Vilivo Masau.
