The Minister for Home Affairs, Pio Tikoduadua, says Government will not respond to claims made by former Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum regarding allegations that the former A-G’s bodyguards carried weapons onto a plane without proper approvals.

Mr Tikoduadua stated that the matter was currently being investigated by the Police and that they were awaiting the outcome of the investigation.

He emphasised that there should be no trial by media.

Meanwhile, Mr Sayed- Khaiyum referred all queries about the allegations to the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.
