When she was four years old, Torika Dimolo watched her father lay on his sickbed due to an unknown illness.
This sight is what motivated her to become a nurse.
It was in the 1950s when Ms Dimolo made the decision to be the first in her family to be a healthcare professional.
Today, at 76 years old, the woman who hails from Bua, in Vanua Levu, stands tall and proud to have achieved her promise.
“My brother was only three weeks old when our dad was admitted to the hospital in Tamavua,” she said.
