Garbage collection has been delayed around the Nadi Town area because the Vunato Disposal site in Lautoka has been temporarily closed.
Nadi Special Administrator Sanjeet Patel was responding to questions raised by concerned residents.
“A lot of questions raised and criticisms put forward by ratepayers on why the garbage collection has been delayed,” he said.
“The expectation is really high at the moment, but let me tell the public today it was due to the unavailability of the Vunato Depot in Lautoka.
