Only 3 Submissions Make It To Fiscal Review Committee
The 2023 Fiscal Review Committee at the Nausori Catholic Hall on Thursday attracted only three members of the public to make submissions.
Committee member Neelesh Gounder said the low turnout was a concern.
“The notice of public consultations was advertised in the daily newspapers. I assume that it was also circulated in social media as well. Social media is a popular way to disseminate information these days,” Gounder said.
“However, we have not seen a good turnout. I am not sure the reason why, but we would love to see more people come to these consultations and tell us their suggestions and recommendations.”
