Layoff Augurs Well For Former Flight Attendant
After being laid off from his job as a flight attendant during the COVID19 pandemic, Peni Matanisiga took an opportunity to gain a formal qualification.

After being laid off from his job as a flight attendant during the COVID19 pandemic, Peni Matanisiga took an opportunity to gain a formal qualification.
He opted to study Politics and Sociology at the University of the South Pacific, a course that was different from his work experience.
With the help of his lecturers, family and friends, Mr Matanisiga graduated with his Bachelor of Arts on Friday.
Matanisiga, 28, hails from Batiri in Nadroga.
“It required a lot of hard work and I’m glad that I was able to graduate today,” he said.
