Empower Pacific is conducting a three-day training to address and discuss mental health issues with its stakeholders.

The Psychological First Aid (PFA) training began yesterday at the Commissioner Western’s office in Lautoka.

It is attended by representatives from Empower Pacific, Ministry of Health and Medical Services and health care workers from Nadi, Lautoka and Ba.

Acting Divisional Medical Officer West Doctor Abdul Shah said front-liner health care workers faced stressful long working hours in intensive care units with nurses and doctors during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
