Behind The Scene With Mick Byrne

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua halfback, Frank Lomani, has been praised by head coach Mick Byrne for putting the team first after he opted out of the match against Melbourne Rebels, last Saturday.
“It was a very matured decision by Frank,” Byrne said of his veteran halfback during a press conference in Nadi.
“Frank had a bruise during training last Tuesday and we were holding on up until the day when he decided to step down. It was not easy for Frank since he wanted to play against his former club (Rebels). He has actually put the team first in his decision.”
Byrne said, 18-year-old Philip Baselala did not hesitate to take his chances after Lomani pulled out.
