In the 1990s we had Noa Nadruku and when he switched to rugby league, in came Viliame Rauluni.

When the Rupeni Ravonu-coached Fiji sevens team hoisted the Melrose Cup (World Cup) for the first time, he had roped in Manasa Bari from the Highlanders while Marika Vunibaka was let loose on the wing.

Then in our second World Cup win in 2005, it was Vunibaka’s turn.

At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, then coach Ben Ryan used Samisoni Viriviri and Osea Kolinisau in that position on our way to the gold medal win.
