The Fiji Airways Fijian men’s rugby sevens team is using the disappointment of their 24-17 loss to New Zealand in the Cup final in Hong Kong to fire them up in this weekend’s HSBC Singapore tournament.
This was the view of head coach Ben Gollings after the team’s first training session in Singapore yesterday as they chase their first tournament win in the series.
“We’ll use the loss in the final as a catalyst for this tournament,” Gollings said.
However, Gollings said they need to start strong in their pool matches against Canada, Samoa and Spain.
