A man in his 50s died following a motor vehicle accident along the Queens Highway on Wednesday afternoon.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the victim, a Sherif of the Magistrates Court in Suva, Jitendra Naidu, while driving near Wainisalato, Naboro, allegedly lost control of his vehicle causing it to veer on to the opposite lane where it hit a six tonne truck.
She said the victim was rushed to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital where he passed away.
She said the investigations continued in the matter.
