A Dream Turns Into Reality For Artist
Artist, Sulio Naulu, the Nadi artist said one night dream ignited the hidden talents he has despite living with street people in Suva. Mr Naulu said two years later, an artist friend invited him to start a business in Nadi which now their market has grown not only locally but internationally.

A dream while living with street dwellers in Suva has ignited Sulio Naulu to start painting as a career.

The Tunuloa, Cakaudrove native went on to start an art business in Nadi.

Born and raised in the village, Mr Naulu, 52, didn’t know that he had an exceptional talent to draw.

After leaving his job for the past 12 years, he ended up living at the Ark of Hope in Suva.

A shelter for homeless people that provides a warm meal and bed for street people in Suva. Many success stories have come out of that home which include members who ventured to be ‘Bara Boys” wheelbarrow boys at the market, brush-cutter businessmen, painters and carpenters.
