The Chinese Embassy in Suva has refuted claims that the Chinese Government spied on a senior Pacific leader during his visit to Fiji.
The claims were made by David Panuelo, the outgoing President of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), according to Voice of America, an American radio broadcaster.
Mr Panuelo claimed that Chinese agents followed him during a recent trip to Fiji.
However, the embassy has denied any wrongdoing and stated that China treats all countries equally when developing friendly relations.
