China’s Executive Vice Minister Of Foreign Affairs Meets The Speaker
The Executive Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Ma Zhaoxu paid a courtesy visit to the Honorable Speaker Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu.
He was accompanied by a delegation that included the Chinese Ambassador to Fiji His Excellency Zhou Jian.
Mr Ma congratulated the Ratu Naiqama on his election as the Speaker of the Fijian Parliament.
He also reaffirmed the long-standing bilateral relations and multi-sectoral cooperation between Fiji and China
The Speaker also commended the assistance that China has provided over the years and the warm bilateral relations between the two countries.
He also commended the successful path of China’s economic progress.
The Fiji Parliament and China’s parliament, the National People’s Congress (NPC) are members of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
The delegation toured the Fiji Parliament chamber before meeting with the Honorable Speaker.
