Chaudhry Queries Event Budget
Fiji Labour Party leader Mahendra Chaudhry yesterday came out strongly against Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka regarding the estimated budget for the National Economic Summit.
Mr Chaudhry claimed the PM had retracted the statement he made last Friday.
“It is surprising that Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka should now retract a statement he made on Friday,” Mr Chaudhry said in a statement.
In his statement run by Communications Fiji Ltd, Mr Rabuka had categorically stated: ‘I am not in favour of the $360,000 budget for the Economic Summit. People can pay for their own food and kalavata.’
