The Province of Tailevu has stepped up to cater for the Great Council of Chiefs (GCC) meeting that will take place on Bau Island next month.

The Province of Tailevu has stepped up to cater for the Great Council of Chiefs (GCC) meeting that will take place on Bau Island next month.
Today, chiefs from the 22 districts (tikina) in Tailevu will convene to discuss funding to cater for the meeting, which has been increased to three days.
Government had confirmed last month that the meeting would take place over two days (May 24- 25).
Yesterday, Vunivalu of Bau spokesperson Aisea Komaitai, said they were expecting thousands of people at the opening of the GCC meeting on Tuesday, May 23.
