The reemployment of former Air Terminal Services (ATS) worker Timoci Vuniamatana, along with a $5,000 goodwill payment, is a long-awaited answer to his prayers.
Mr Vuniamatana was among 285 ATS workers who were laid off in 2022 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
He had worked for ATS for 16 years as a catering attendant and is optimistic about returning to his former job with the company.
On Monday, the Federated Airline Staff Association (FASA) met with the Finance Minister, Biman Prasad, the government Board of Directors, and ATS management.
