Accounting Professionals Reminded Of Important Roles
Last month, accountants gathered at the Fiji Institute of Chartered Accountants (FICA) Technical Workshop at the Warwick Fiji Resort, where they were encouraged to share ideas on professional growth in their field.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Cooperatives, Small & Medium Enterprises and Communications Manoa Kamikamica, during the opening of this workshop, said the accounting profession and institutes played a pivotal role in raising awareness on the importance of financial literacy amongst grassroots communities and MSMEs.
He said this was a platform that continued to encourage education, professional development and the maintenance of high accounting, auditing and ethical standards for its members and the accounting profession.
