Labasa Teenager Who Allegedly Took Off With $31,000 Cash Found

The report of theft was made by the girl’s father, a 44-year-old Labasa businessman around 10:30am on Thursday morning at the Labasa Police Station.

The father alleged that his daughter took off with the money from their shop.

The girl was located on the same day before midnight.

Fiji Police Force chief operations officer Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Livai Driu said the complainant has withdrawn his report.

“We urge members of the community not to keep large sums of money at home as they become easy targets for opportunists,” ACP Driu said.

The businessman is thanking Labasa Police officers for assisting him.
