News Housing Authority And Public Rental Boad Lautoka Branch To Be One-Stop Shop

The opening of the new Housing Authority of Fiji and the Public Rental Board (PRB) outlet in Lautoka will provide a one-stop shop for members of the public.
The outlet is located on the ground floor of the Fiji Development Bank building at Vitogo Parade.
It is manned by four staff from the Housing Authority of Fiji and four from the PRB.
The Minister for Housing and Local Government Maciu Katamotu said housing was a basic need.
“The opening up of this branch is an indication of our progress to work together and provide housing services that we are mandated to carry out. I’m also informed the Ministry of Housing is also being provided space in this office and I wish to convey my appreciation to such a thoughtful gesture,” he said.
He said the ministry would conduct a review of the National Housing Policy.
“In this review, we’ll want to have an enhanced and streamlined institutional framework that will encourage collective performance among our respective entities,” he said.
“The policy can only be effective through your support and collaboration, therefore I encourage each and every staff to work together, and support one another, more importantly, show the people the best way you can.”
Housing Authority of Fiji chief executive officer Ritesh Singh said the move to the new branch premises was long awaited.
“With the support of the minister, I can assure our HA and PRB staff, customers, and wider stakeholders that we can and we will accomplish greater things in the Western Division,” Mr Singh said.
