Lata Willing To Share Knitting Skills With Youths

Rohini Lata is willing to share her love for knitting with youths who are inter­ested. Ms Lata, 58, and her son were one of the 187 artisans at the Western Division Womens Expo at Shirley Park in Lautoka on May 3 and 4.

Rohini Lata is willing to share her love for knitting with youths who are inter­ested.

Ms Lata, 58, and her son were one of the 187 artisans at the Western Division Womens Expo at Shirley Park in Lautoka on May 3 and 4.

“I am interested in teaching this to younger women if they want to do this for income generating, even single mothers struggling to make money, they can come to me,” she said.

“I learned to sew while I was boarding at Dilkusha and I love to sew even though I need the money as well but that’s a plus because I enjoy doing this, it is like therapy for me whenever I am stressed, this is my outlet.”
