Raiders Stay Unbeaten After Beating Navy

Vusu Raiders remain undefeated in the Round 3 of the Vodafone Super 8 rugby league at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka, today, after a 26-24 win over Navy Albatross.
In the first half, Navy was dominant with opening penalty by Mosese Rokobera in the first six minutes to lead 2-0.
This was followed by another try in the 15th minute to Sikeli Racau and again in the 28th minute to Jeke Suguturaga with Rokobera landing the conversions.
Raiders fought back in the last few minutes of the half with two converted tries to Esala Nadruku and Kalaveti Cavukai the conversions going over to level the scores 14-14 at halftime.
In the second half, Raiders played with a lot of determination with first five eight Save Gonerava scoring a try in the 49th minute and a successful conversion pushed them ahead 20-14 but Navy came back to lead 24-20 but a last-minute try to Peniasi Damu saw Sikeli Votunisiga landing the conversion for a 26-24 win for the Raiders.
