A man charged with one count of theft and one count of breaching his bail conditions will take his plea at the High Court in Lautoka next month.

Shalendra Sen Sina, allegedly stole a vehicle worth $38,000 from Yaweni St, Lautoka, on June 4, 2022, and breached his bail conditions by reoffending.

The matter was heard before High Court Judge, Justice Riyaz Hamza on Tuesday.

The State was represented by Shreta Prakash.

Justice Hamza questioned a Police orderly on why Sen was not present in court, and he said Sen was remanded at the Lautoka Police Station for another incident, which occurred at the weekend.

Justice Hamza said he would take Sen’s plea before transferring the matter.

The court heard that Sen’s matter regarding his bench warrant would be called next month. Justice Hamza said since Sen was remanded at the Lautoka Police station, he would call both matters on June 13.
