Kaliveti Vueti hopes to improve his productivity as he resumes work at the Air Terminal Services(ATS).

Vueti, 49, was one of the 285 ATS staff members who were terminated at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in June, 2020.

Last week, the Federated Airline Staff Association (FASA) and the ATS Board signed a memorandom ensuring 265 Air Terminal Services workers return to work in stages.

Yesterday, about 50 staff members returned to their jobs.

It was a happy moment for many of them. After three years, they got to enter the ATS headquarters again.

Mr Vueti, who coordinates the airline chefs at the ATS flight kitchen, said, “We are going back to work and we need to raise the standard where it was supposed to be for the past three years.”
