The Use of Containers For Residential Or Commercial Use Is A Concern: Aisake Raratabu
The use of containers as residence, commercial and industrial use needs to be clarified.
This was revealed by the Principal Town Planner West and Department of Town and Country Planning, Aisake Raratabu during the Fiji National Building Code (FNBC) Public Information Session at the Civic Centre in Nadi yesterday.
Government has facilitated four public information sessions – one at each of the four divisions, to provide in-depth information regarding the update to FNBC.
The building code update addresses four primary priorities concern; sustainability, climate resilience, inclusion and innovation while fulfilling Fiji’s commitment to creating a greener and more sustainable future as prescribed in the Climate Change Act of 2021.
