Political Parties Source Of Funds Record Available To Public

Members of the public interested in getting to know the sources of funds of political parties can do so from the Fijian Elections Office.
Acting Supervisor of Elections Ana Mataiciwa said this was available for inspection from the public for a $20 fee.
“For inspection they just have to visit the FEO, there is an inspection fee of $20 per party and the turnaround time is 24 hours,” she said.
“They cannot photocopy or take photos, but they can just come if they are interested in the parties’ sources of funds, come to the office, pay $20 and they can inspect.”
She said they would also be publishing the audited accounts on the FEO website by the end of this week.
