The Alumni and CBM (Cakaudrove Bua Macuata) men’s team will battle in the final of the Netball Men’s Championship at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.

Speaking to SUNsports today, CBM manageress Maria Ah Sam said the team is registered with the Suva Netball Association and has been preparing well for the tournament.

“We’ve been training two to three times a week,” she said.
“Some of our boys work in Sigatoka, so they do their training there while the rest of the boys train in Suva.”
Ah Sam said despite their different training schedules, the players are able to play together as a unit.

“We just need to execute the basics well and maintain possession in the final against Alumni,” she said.

Alumni captain Vilive Wainidroa said he is happy with the team’s progress during the two-day tournament.

“Teamwork is one of our main weapons in this tournament but we still need to work on the basics of the game and communication as well,” he added.
