An investment of close to $100,000 has seen the opening of a new Bold & Beautiful Cosmetics outlet at the Sports City Complex in Laucala Bay, Suva.

Branched out from Salt and Pepper Home Deco, director Shanal Shivan saw a huge potential in the beauty and skincare industry.

He said Bold and Beautiful Cosmetics aimed to be the beauty powerhouse, offering premium and affordable skincare, cosmetics that fitted the needs of skin tone, look and attitude.

“Not only are we launching this new brand, but we have created a friendly environment to ensure when customers come to shop, we provide them with unique aesthetics to ensure ever-evolving beauty innovations,” Mr Sivan said.

“We have a quest to become the most trusted beauty company in Fiji and remain vital for the next coming years and beyond.”

“At the company, we want to create a culture to adapt to a big-picture perspective.”

“We want the ladies to keep up to the trend, we want all reputable brand of cosmetic and skin-care brands to be accessible to them, most importantly, we don’t want our ladies to be left behind.”

Bold and Beautiful Cosmetics beauty products are specifically formulated in Hollywood with its own brand of concealer, foundation, matte lipsticks and eyeliners to name a few.

The new outlet was opened by the Deputy Prime Minister Biman Prasad.

Mr Prasad said the expansion would put the business owners as part of the growing group of young people who could see more opportunities to get into business.

He said small businesses were very important to the economy as they created employment.

“I know that this is just the beginning for Shanal and Shireen as I said they have a combination that could only grow into something bigger and bigger,” Mr Prasad said.

“I know that they already have plans to grow this into a big business and normally businesses that start small are managed well by young people, young families and eventually grow into its enterprises.”

Bold and Beautiful Cosmetics director Shireen Shivan said the company had undergone various developments for the past 12 months.

This included the expansion to Bold and Beautiful Cosmetics and a commercial arm in the Western Division.
