Rabuka & Modi In Papua New Guinea

Fiji will soon be home to a 100-bed regional super specialty hospital that will boost health care services.
This is part of a commitment by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘12-Step Action Plan to Strengthen India-Pacific Island Countries Partnership’ .
The Ministry for Health and Medical Services is expected to provide further details on this development following the return of the delegation from the 3rd Forum for India-Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC) Summit in Papua New Guinea.
The delegation is led by Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka.
India’s Spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, Arindam Bagchi, tweeted about the leaders’ positive exchange and their review of the close bilateral partnership.
Mr Modi also shared his delight on twitter after meeting Mr Rabuka.
“We had a great conversation on various topics. The relation between India and Fiji has stood the test of time. We look forward to working together to further cement it in the coming years,” Mr Modi tweeted.
Additionally, as a gesture of honor, Mr Rabuka bestowed upon PM Modi the Companion of the Order of Fiji (CF), which is the highest honor in Fiji, on behalf of the President of Fiji
