An international superyacht community will host its members to a retreat at Denarau in August.

The organisation, Superyacht Gathering, is on a mission to bring together like-minded individuals to encourage sustainable exploration outside the typical cruising route.

The two-day event, which begins on August 23, is expected to begin with a dinner at the Waitui Private Beach Club at the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa.

It will be followed a day-trip to Musket Cove Resort on Malolo Lailai Island.

Superyacht Gathering said they would also indulge in a long lunch featuring local seafood and fresh produce along with wines and beers.

The gatherings also provide an opportunity for members to share their technological innovations, environmental research and altruistic actions.

A near sunset cruise back to Port Denarau Marina will end the two days of networking, play and inspiration.

Tickets are retailed at $1323.

Superyacht Gathering is expected to host another event in Auckland in November.
