Assistant Commissioner of Police Sakeo Raikaci confirmed that Mr Bainimarama was questioned as continuation of the questioning process in relation to an alleged abuse of office case.

The former Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama, was questioned again in relation to another allegation of abuse of office.
He was questioned by the Criminal Investigations Department at the Valelevu Police Station in Nasinu, in the presence of his lawyers Devanesh Sharma and Gul Fatima.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Sakeo Raikaci confirmed that Mr Bainimarama was questioned as continuation of the questioning process in relation to an alleged abuse of office case.
Earlier, ACP Raikaci said the allegation of abuse of office report pertained to allegations that Mr Bainimarama had approved the waiver of a process for the purchase of medical equipment worth over $500,000.
