Ratu Tevita Uluilakeba Mara Is A Free Man
The Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Siromi Turaga, confirmed that Ratu Tevita Uluilakeba has been declared a free man.
This is after the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) entered a nolle prosequi due to insufficient evidence, leading to the termination of legal proceedings against him.
Mr Turaga emphasised the importance of respecting Ratu Tevita’s privacy and requested the public to refrain from prying into his personal life.
Regarding the allegations of desertion against Ratu Tevita, Major- General Jone Kalouniwai, Commander of the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces (RFMF), provided clarification.
He said Ratu Tevita had formally applied for his resignation and discharge from the RFMF on March 29, 2011, despite speculations that he did not.
