Contrabands can kill if swallowed or inserted into the bodies of those who are trying to smuggle them into prison, says the Fiji Corrections Service (FCS).

She said three inmates had died because of the effect of smuggling contrabands in their bodies; the most recent was at the Lautoka Corrections facility.
