Singer and songwriter, Apakuki Nalawa may be busy in his studio making Fiji’s next hit, but he also has a deep desire to explore parts of Fiji. 

Better known as Kuki, he is the lead singer and guitarist for Inside Out and the director of Resonance Entertainment. 

Mr Nalawa has spent about 12 years perfecting his craft which was birthed at his home church. 

His career kickstarted with his first band single, Sweet Talking, which won an award in 2016. 

He hails from Drauniivi Village, Ra and shares maternal links to Udu, Vanua Levu. 

Where in Fiji would you take friends to? 

Drauniivi Village, Ra. 

It is the most beautiful place, where you can watch the sunset. 

What is your favourite place for coffee/pie? 

Mana Coffee. 

I love the ambience and the atmosphere. 

Chocolate muffins are to die for. 

What is your favourite backyard spot? 

My studio in Namadi. 

It allows me to focus on my work. 

What are two places on your bucket list? 

Lau and Rotuma. 

I heard these places are really beautiful, so why not.
