Savusavu Municipal Market Construction In Progress
The construction of the new Savusavu Municipal Market is on track.
Savusavu Town Council chief executive officer Seema Dutt said those involved were trying their best to complete the project by November, 2023, despite numerous challenges
The groundbreaking ceremony of the two-storey building was carried out by the former Minister for Local Government, Premila Kumar, on October 27, 2022.
“The team consists of a lead consultant and project engineer from Chand Engineering Consultants Limited, architect from AAPiDesign, service engineer from Building Services Consulting Engineers and the contractor is from Jenn’s Construction Pte Limited,” Ms Dutt said.
“This $1million construction project is funded by the Fijian Government and UN Women markets for change project.”
