Junior ‘The Razor’ Farzan Ali plans to hand Fiji super flyweight boxing champion Junior Binnu Singh his first loss when they meet in Suva, next Saturday.

The clash is one of the main supporting bouts of the FMF Fiji Boxing Series where Jese Ravudi takes on Winston Hill for the Fiji super welterweight title.

The 43-year-old Farzan was working on his combination of punches at his Nawaka home in Nadi on Thursday when approached for an interview.

“It is going to be tough,” he told SUNsports.

“I fought his father (Binnu Singh Snr) three times during our prime. We won one fight each and the third ended in a draw.”

Farzan said this is a big fight for him since his opponent is a ‘new kid on the block’.

“He (Junior Binnu Singh) is coming up, but I am going to stop this guy, it will be a knockout. I’ve been training with my son and nephew for the fight.”

Farzan has held the Fiji bantamweight, featherweight, lightweight and welterweight titles. He has beaten top boxers like Opeti Tagi, Waisele Ratu, Mohammed Paiyal, Etuate Kofi and the list goes on.
