Toga Kalougata and his team of workers have added a new dimension to the house construction business in Taveuni with the use of hemp blocks.
His company Cat5 (Category five) Builders is constructing a house at Nayalayala made from hemp blocks.
They are sourced from the chips of the industrial hemp plant and mixed with lime.
Mr Kalougata said it was the first house of its kind in Taveuni.
He imported these blocks from France last year.
After many years of working with concrete blocks, he felt a sense of natural connection with the hemp block.
