Nadi Landowners Propose Capital Funds for Business Trading

The Nadi landowners have submitted a proposal to the Government, urging the allocation of capital funds for business trading and economic investments.
The proposal comes from the Nakovacake Development Trust and Kofera Trust, both of which are members of the Land-Owning Unit in Nadi.
During the National Budget Consultations, Samuela Tuidraki, Secretary of the Kofera Trust, and Anare Naivutevute, Secretary of the Nakovacake Development Trust, presented their proposals as follows:
1. The Government should allocate capital funds to assist landowners in Fiji in investing in their lands for business investments.
2. A certain percentage of the lease monies should be directed to landowners’ business investments, provided they meet the necessary requirements set by the state.
3. The Government should establish strategies to unite all landowning units, fostering a common goal in terms of business trading and economic investments.
