Nadi Bay Canoe Club Commemorates World Ocean Day

The Nadi Bay Canoe club commemorated World Oceans Day with 20 kilometres paddle and beach clean-up along Wailoaloa Beach, Nadi.
The clean-up was led by dedicated committee member Jale Tomasi.
The club embarked on a challenging two hour journey, uniting a diverse array of participants ranging from seasoned paddlers to newcomers who traversed the picturesque stretches of Wailoaloa, Lomolomo, and Denarau Island.
Tomasi, reflecting on the occasion, highlighted the profound significance of World Ocean Day for the Nadi Bay Canoe Club, emphasising the club’s unwavering commitment to oceanic stewardship.
“Every day is World Ocean Day for us,” he said.
“Our paddle showcased a mix of experienced and novice paddlers conquering the scenic Wailoaloa, Lomolomo, and Denarau Island routes. As custodians of our pristine ocean, safeguarding its wellbeing comes naturally to us.”
The club members concerted efforts focused on removing litter, debris and waste from the shorelines, showcasing the clubs commitment to maintaining the pristine beauty of its natural surroundings.
The Nadi Bay Canoe Club extends its heartfelt appreciation to all participants, volunteers, and supporters whose contributions were pivotal in the resounding success of this World Ocean Day event.
