Tabia Sanatan College Ready For IDC Qualifier
The Tabia Sanatan College Under-17 football side has ended its 13-year wait by beating Waiqele College 2-0 in the Labasa Zone Two U17 final.
Coach Shavneel Sharma said the players’ hard work and sacrifice in balancing school work and football have paid off.
The side managed to qualify for the semi-final after a shaky start in the eight-team tournament.
He said their players were aware of the task at hand, which is to qualify for the Fiji Secondary Schools Interdistrict Championship (IDC) to be held in Labasa in August.
They will face the winners of the Labasa Zone One to confirm their spot for the IDC.
“I dedicate the win to all students, teachers, parents and well wishes for always supporting us,” he said.
Sharma said their fitness level enabled them to last the tournament.
