Cristina and Joe Lillis will never forget their first trip to Fiji.

The Los Angeles-based couple is in the country for a friend’s wedding, at the Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay.

They were tempted to be part of the sixth Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay’s Sunset Series on Saturday.

The resort showcased an immersive culinary experience inspired by the island of Bali.

The event featured a Balinese dinner buffet, live music, and performances by Balinese dancers from the VOU Dance Group, along with a three-hour drinks package.

The event featured a blend of music by DJ Christonite and culinary delights in Momi’s renowned beachfront setting.

“Fiji is beautiful. It is amazing given the wonderful people and services, and food is amazing,” said Mr Lillis.

“We will come back with our friends.”

“Everyone is friendly here and this is one of the best places on earth.”

Aussie guest, Mark Lupton, said he had been travelling around the world, but no destination is so vibrant as Fiji.

“Fiji is just wow and you guys know how to make people feel at home,” he said.

“It is amazing and catching for the families. How to knock it out of the park, I could not recommend anything higher for a destination, family getaway, or wedding event.”

General manager, Silvano Dressino, said the sixth Momi Bay Sunset Series was another success.

“We originally created these events to spark a sense of inspiration for locals during the closure of borders and celebrate countries around the world,” he said.

“It’s great to continue these events and now be able to celebrate with our guests.”

Executive chef, Saravanan Subramanian, who was behind the culinary offering said: “Australians and Kiwis do love to go to Bali. So, they loved it and we had a full booking tonight.”
