An organisation that represents women in business has called for sustainable practices.

Women Entrepreneurs Business Council (WEBC) introduced a sustainability-oriented green policy at a recent Women Invigorating the Nation (WIN) Convention.

Some members of the WEBC involved in the project reflected on its impact to date, including practices that furthered green businesses.

Businesses that want to adopt environmentally-sound practices can follow the green policy template, said WEBC and WIN convention committee member, Vera Chute.

WEBC coordinator Fiona Uagunu cited some policy actions taken to promoted sustainability.

“We didn’t do a salusalu for our guest speakers, we reused the lanyards in our cupboards. We didn’t purchase new ones,” she said.
