The Fiji Water Flying Fijians squad took the first phase of their Rugby World Cup journey early this morning when they left Suva for Taveuni.

The Simon Raiwalui-coached side will camp in Welagi, Taveuni, this week as part of their preparations and getting reconnected with the people.

The ferry trip will make a stopover in Savusavu by midday before sailing to Taveuni.

First up, for the Flying Fijians is the July Test matches where they face Tonga at Churchill Park, Lautoka, on July 22. This is followed by the clash against Manu Samoa in Apia on July 29 and Japan in Tokyo on August 5.
