The hardest lessons in life teach us to be the better version of ourselves and to be the best we can be at what we do well.

Those were the motivational words of Shivaneel Sandeep Gounder, who is taking the lead for the Fiji Marriott Academy.

Currently, he is the Complex Learning and Development Manager – at Marriott International, Fiji based at the Sheraton Fiji Golf and Beach Resort in Denarau.

The 29-year-old has been in the tourism industry for the last nine years and he loves his work.

Originally from Nadera, Nasinu, and was educated at the Rishikul Primary and Rishikul Sanatan College.

He attained his master’s in business administration – Tourism and Hospitality Management from the University of Fiji.
