7 CEO’s In 10 Years At MSAF

Seven chief executive officers (CEO) over a span of 10 years for an organisation riddled with concerns over laws designed to strangle and limit the number of local operators, is enough to get tongues wagging.
But such is the reality at Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji (MSAF), where it is as close to a norm as can get.
Recently, the role of chief executive officer was advertised, close to two years after the last office holder walked out of his job with no apparent explanation.
In the past 10 years, the position has had just about enough acting CEOs to warrant an acting school within MSAF.
Line minister Ro Filipe Tuisawau did not respond to various attempts by this newspaper, for comment.
