Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has been assured by the Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces Major-General Ro Jone Kalouniwai that there will be no instability as speculated widely on social media.

Mr Rabuka relayed the message at the opening the Rewa Provincial Council Meeting at Navuso Agricultural School in Natasiri yesterday.

Major-General Kalouniwai was also present at the opening of the meeting.

Mr Rabuka pleaded with the Gone Marama Bale na Roko Tui Dreketi,  Ro Teimumu Kepa and the people of Rewa to support the Government of the day achieve its goals and aspirations.

“Your government stands ready to help you, but we need your support, we need you to stand by us.”

He told the council meeting that the Government was working hard to deliver on its promises.

“Let us all work together so when we finish the coming financial year, what we will achieve is growth! We will see people living in peace and harmony,” he said
