Sports Council Backs ‘Suka Na Vuli’ Concert

The Fiji Sports Council is hosting the Suka na Vuli concert at the Vodafone Arena on Saturday, August 26.
FSC media officer Mere Tuqiri said they were pleased to partner with renowned local music group VT1/VT Bop Music.
“We are confident of the collaborative partnership as we are given a stellar lineup of homegrown talent will result in an epic night of entertainment, “she said.
VTBop Music managing director Tikiko Korocowiri said the concert would be their biggest indoor venue in Fiji.
“The show will be held at the beginning of the school holidays hence the name Suka na Vuli and we’re expecting a large crowd to turn up and enjoy the line of music, “he said.
“Suka na Vuli is the third local offering by the VT1 as we only do a few local live shows per year as the rest of the year is dedicated to touring.”
Korocowiri stressed that the concert is a family show as alcohol would not be permitted.
“I know there’s been a lot of talk in the media about the recent increase in food prices and a lot of people are worried.
“We are happy to announce that over 90 per cent of our tickets are below $20.
“We like to keep this affordable for as many people to attend the show on August 26.”
