Teenage pregnancy remains a big and significant concern in the Naitasiri Province.
This was highlighted by the Naitasiri provincial administrator (PA), Koroka Kabakoro, during the Naitasiri Provincial Council meeting on Monday.
Mr Kabakoro emphasised the necessity for the province to address this issue promptly.
He said the province’s current allowance for individuals under the age of 18 to engage in sexual activity with their partners contributed to a rise in teenage pregnancies.
Mr Kabakoro said urgent action was required to solve the problem before it escalated.
